Caaguazú, Paraguay · Group Workshops

Your payslip
finally makes
sense.

Thousands of young Paraguayans start their first formal job with no idea what their payslip says. We run afternoon workshops that break it all down — IPS, deductions, aguinaldo, and the labor rights nobody taught you.

1 Afternoon Per workshop
Group Format Learn together
Line by Line Every deduction explained
No Jargon Plain language always

We translate your payslip from bureaucratic to human.

When you get your first formal payslip in Paraguay, it can feel like reading a document in another language. IPS contributions, MTESS codes, aguinaldo prorrateado — none of it is explained anywhere obvious.

Our workshops are built specifically for first-time formal workers. In a single afternoon, a small group works through a real payslip together, asking every question they were too embarrassed to ask at the office.

Important note: We are an educational service. We are not labor lawyers and we do not prepare payroll liquidations. Our role is to help you understand — not to give legal advice.

Our format is designed to be practical, comfortable, and focused on the questions first-time workers actually have.

Bring Your Payslip

If you have a recent recibo de sueldo, bring it. If not, we work through a sample document that reflects the standard Paraguayan payslip format.

We Break It Down Together

Line by line, we explain what every number means — salary base, IPS contribution, income tax thresholds, aguinaldo proration, and any other deductions.

Know Your Rights

We cover the basic labor rights every formal worker in Paraguay should know — vacation, bonuses, IPS benefits, and what the law says about your contract.

Recibo de Sueldo
Empresa S.A. — Enero 2026
Período
01/01 – 31/01

Every line has a reason. We explain all of them.

Built for first-time formal workers

We designed every aspect of our workshops around the real experience of starting your first formal job in Paraguay.

Group Format

Learning alongside others who share the same questions creates a comfortable, judgment-free environment. You realize you're not alone in not knowing.

One Afternoon Only

We respect your time. A single focused session covers everything you need to understand your payslip and your basic rights as a formal worker.

Plain Language

No legal jargon, no complicated accounting terms. We explain everything in the same language you'd use talking to a knowledgeable friend.

Educational Focus

We are educators, not lawyers. Our goal is understanding — so you can ask better questions, notice errors, and make informed decisions about your work life.

Based in Caaguazú

We serve the Caaguazú region and surrounding areas. Our workshops are designed for the Paraguayan labor context — not adapted from foreign curricula.

For Families Too

Parents who want to help their children navigate their first job are welcome. Understanding the system benefits the whole household, not just the worker.

What we cover in every session

IPS Explained

What the Instituto de Previsión Social is, why 9% is deducted from your salary, and what health and pension benefits you're entitled to as a contributor.

Aguinaldo & Bonuses

How the annual bonus (aguinaldo) is calculated, why it appears prorrateado on your monthly slip, and when you legally receive it.

Income Tax Basics

Understanding IRP (Impuesto a la Renta Personal) — what the threshold is, whether it applies to your salary, and how it's calculated if it does.

Vacation Rights

How vacation days accrue under Paraguayan labor law, what your vacation pay looks like, and how to read the vacation line on your payslip.

Contract Basics

The difference between contract types, what a trial period means, and what basic protections apply from your first day of formal employment.

Your Questions

Every session ends with open Q&A. No question is too basic. If you've been wondering about something on your payslip, we work through it together.

Education, not advice.

We want to be clear about what we are and what we are not. Dalvantez is a financial and labor education service. We explain how the Paraguayan payroll system works in plain terms so that workers can understand their own situation.

We do not provide legal counsel, we do not represent workers in disputes, and we do not prepare official payroll documents. For specific legal situations, we always recommend consulting a licensed labor attorney.

What we do is help you ask the right questions — of your employer, of IPS, and of yourself as you navigate your working life.

Frequently asked

No. Our workshops are specifically designed for people in their first formal job — whether you've been there one week or six months. If you haven't started yet but want to be prepared, you're also welcome. The content is relevant at any early stage of formal employment.
IPS stands for Instituto de Previsión Social — Paraguay's social security system. When you're a formal worker, 9% of your salary is contributed to IPS each month. In return, you gain access to public healthcare through IPS hospitals and clinics, and you begin building toward a future pension. Your employer also contributes a portion on top of what comes from your salary. We cover this in detail during the workshop.
Aguinaldo is Paraguay's mandatory annual bonus — equivalent to one month's salary — paid in December. "Prorrateado" means it's being accrued monthly on your payslip: each month, one-twelfth of the annual bonus is shown as an accrual. This is a positive item on your payslip, not a deduction. We explain exactly how to read it and what to expect in December.
We are not lawyers and we do not provide legal advice or representation. Dalvantez is a financial and labor education service. Our workshops help you understand how the payroll system works so you can recognize your situation clearly. If you have a specific legal dispute or need official representation, we recommend consulting a licensed labor attorney (abogado laboralista).
Yes. Parents, siblings, or other family members who want to understand the formal employment system are welcome. Many families benefit from understanding these concepts together, especially when a young person is starting their first job and parents want to help them navigate it. Check our For Families page for more information.
Every session includes open Q&A time specifically for situations that don't fit the standard format. If you have something unusual on your payslip — an unfamiliar deduction, a line that doesn't make sense — bring it and we'll work through it together as a group. If it falls outside our educational scope, we'll tell you honestly and point you toward the right resource.
